We\u2019re excited to share this year\u2019s Christmas card with you! For the past several years, we\u2019ve had the privilege of working with Ron Lawrence, a talented artist with a deep connection to our farm. Ron\u2019s hand-drawn holiday cards have become a cherished tradition, bringing a unique and personal touch to the holiday season.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/a><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Ron\u2019s history with MacFarlane Pheasants goes back to the early 1960s when he started working part-time at the farm. At the time, he was also employed at General Motors and looking for a second job. He joined our team when our owner, Bill MacFarlane, was about 12 years old. Ron worked at the farm for nearly 30 years before retiring. Since then, Ron has continued to share his talents with us by creating these incredible holiday cards, each one a true work of art.<\/span><\/p>\n

What makes Ron\u2019s cards even more special are the hidden gems within them. Every year, he includes his initials somewhere in the drawing and adds fun Easter Eggs for us to discover. This year\u2019s card is no exception!<\/span><\/p>\n

A Unique Theme for 2024<\/b><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s card holds particular significance as it reflects a major event from 2024\u2014the tornado that hit our farm. Sarah Pope suggested the theme, and our Chick & Egg Sales Manager, Karina, came up with the perfect title: <\/span>The Calm After the Storm<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The card captures the resilience of our farm and community, with a touch of humor woven into the design. If you look closely, you\u2019ll spot a witch riding her bike\u2014a whimsical nod to the storm and the movie Wicked\u2019s release this year. And, of course, there are plenty of other surprises hidden throughout the illustration for you to find!<\/span><\/p>\n
